
I was tasked with the exciting challenge of bringing one of the most iconic logos in popular culture to life. Working with Buck and their incredibly talented team was a highlight of the project and I'm very proud for my logo to live within their perfectly crafted identity for the game.
Arkham Shadow, a new VR game, expands the legendary Arkham series. A violent cult led by the mysterious Rat King has swarmed Gotham, and the city has fallen into chaos. Shadows, rats, gothic grittiness, destruction, and smoke all became elements in a cohesive visual language that helped inform the look of the title treatment. To respect the legacy logos, we maintained their overall form while refining the familiar Batman typography. The color palette is inspired by firelight and smoke with hints of the red found in the rat masks and Gotham's neon signage seen throughout the game.
After completing the logo, Buck continued development and animated the logo for their epic, cinematic trailer that teased the game and got fans excited for the first new Arkham game in almost a decade. The game is paired with the Meta Quest 3 and can be seen along side the product online and in stores.
